- The turnips are sent to be used in a chef's conference held by the dining halls.
Sunflowers: Harvest Season in Our Garden/How We Use It
- Sunflowers bloom in August through September
- Most of the sunflowers are kept in the garden for beauty. A few are harvested for flower boquets sold at the farmers market.
Pole Beans: Harvest Season in Our Garden/How We Use It
- Pole beans will be ready to be harvested from July through October, depending on what stage you want to pick them at.
- The pole beans are mostly sent to the dining halls, if dining cannot use them they will be sent to Amherst Survival Center..
